From the Crumpled Press:
A stunning retrospective of drawings from Regina Granne, spanning 25 years of her career as a painter and teacher. This sumptuous volume includes 25 color plates and is accompanied by a lengthy interview in which the artist discusses the technical, philosophical, and political concerns underpinning her work.
From the text of the book:
"It is always there when I work, that battle. More even than the paintings, it's the drawing part of the painting that is that battle, the increments of differences when you move two inches this way or two inches that way, the holding of the focus of that moment.... Any object is actually contained only in its space. When you move the object, you shift the space."
